The workshop was organized by the Dean of Students’ Affairs in collaboration with Management of the College. The 8th-9th February, 2023 workshop was the second of its kind which was organized for the SRC Executives. The purpose of the workshop was to prepare student leaders to be accountable and efficient in carrying out their responsibilities. The first day of the workshop focused on accountability and accounting process. The topics discussed included accounting and accountability, budget preparation and its relevance, and making appropriate expenditure. The facilitators for Day 1 were Messrs Simon Kpodo (Ag. College Accountant), Eric Kweku Nuertey (College Internal Auditor), and Kingsley Larbi (Assistant College Internal Auditor); and the second day, Day 2 saw presentation and discussions on effective leadership skills and the functions of the SRC Executives. The specific topics discussed were leadership, and factors of leadership; leadership styles; leadership qualities; and functions of each portfolio of SRC. The Day 2 workshop was facilitated by the Dean of Students’ Affairs who also doubled as NTC Licensed Facilitator. At the end of the workshop, the President, Honourable Emmanuel Larserh thanked both the College Management and the Dean of Students’ Affairs for the leadership tools given to prepare them for the tasks ahead. On behalf of the other executives, Mr. Larserh assured Management that his leadership would follow due processes to ensure that their regime would see a leadership with a difference.
