It was all fun and fanfare at Maks Resort, Ada, when Management, Teaching, and Non-Teaching staff gathered to participate in the maiden Principal’s Inter-Unions Games Challenge on May Day, 1st May 2025. From about 9.00am to 4.00pm, staff engaged in fun games including ludo, oware, cards, draught, ampe, musical chairs, tug of war, and beach volley. At the end of it all, Team Mikado (Group 1), comprising Dr. Nana Yaw Osei, Vice Principal; Francis P. Ankrah, Esq., Registrar; Mr. Alfred D. Nukpetsi, Head, Department of Education; Mr. Joshua Dugah, Assistant Lecturer; Mr. Jonathan Amonoo Davis, Assistant Lecturer; Mr. Kofi Ofori, Assistant Lecturer; Mr. Felix Asante Larbi, Assistant Lecturer, STS Coordinator; Mr. Frank Kinski Mikado, Acting Procurement Officer; Ms. Patience Jenkins, Senior Administrative Assistant; Ms. Emmanuella Asare, Senior Administrative Assistant; Mr. Nanteen Nteajor, Senior Auditing Assistant; Mr. Hayford Owusu, Senior IT Assistant; Ms. Rachel Abuanor, Assistant Porter; Ms. Ellen Atrakpo, Estates; Ms. Magdalene Dormenyo, Estates; Ms. Peace Sakre, Estates; Mr. Moses Avi, Senior Security Officer & Mr. John T. Larssey, Kitchen, took the maiden cup for winning in majority of the sporting disciplines engaged in.
Though on a cautious shoe-string budget for the maiden event, participants had their choice of drinks, water, and a buffet of very sumptuous gizzard khebabs, as they danced and merrily sang along to their favourite tunes.






Speaking at the end of the event, the Principal, Prof. Prince Boateng, who conceptualised the idea, said he was amazed at the incredible energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed by the participants. He said the massive turnout and enthusiastic participation truly made the event a resounding success, reflecting the vibrant spirit and unity of our college community.
He added that watching the Union leaders, Management members, the Heads of Departments and Units, and everyone come together to compete, cheer, and share laughs—was a testament to the strong bond staff shared as a team. He expressed appreciation to staff for taking time off to celebrate, engage, and make the day memorable.
He expressed the hope that staff would carry the positive energy forward to work together toward our shared goals.
