- Ladies and Gentlemen
It is with great delight that I welcome you all, most heartily; to the 2021 Matriculation Ceremony of Ada College of Education. This ceremony marks the official entry of fresh students into this higher institution of learning and it is a statutory gathering to formally admit deserving and qualified candidates who are fortunate to be offered admission into this noble Institution.
I am excited to welcome you to our great College, where we enforce academic excellence and enforce our core values.
Your matriculation is so special. This is the first time in the history of the College we are matriculating two different cohorts of students for the same programme. This means that at a given time two or different activities may be taking place. I entreat you to embrace yourself for any challenges that these activities may bring.
At this Matriculation, I will be inducting 680 students into the accredited Primary and Junior High programmes. We could not accept more programmes because of the capacity of our facilities. We cannot promise you the best of facilities. However, I entreat you all to manage the little we have to your advantage and to the benefit of those who will come after you.
For our human resource, I can promise you the best of staff who are ready and willing to help you achieve your goals of travelling from far and near to Ada College of Education. I assure you that you are in safe hands.
My dear matriculating students, it is a new dawn for all of you today, and by the grace of God, in about 1 and half year’s time, we will be gathered again for your congregation/graduation ceremony. I therefore charge you to make the most of the opportunity afforded you, ensure that you attend classes, shun all forms of deviant behaviours and family problems, and focus on why you are here.
You are advised that the College abhors all kinds of deviant behaviours; be it riot, hooliganism, or destruction of College property. Again, obey everybody in the College community including your colleagues and do what is expected of you.
Management on her part will do everything possible to make your studies here comfortable. We are always guided by a line in our College Anthem, “Our home away from home” in our dealing with students. As sons and daughters of this great Institution, I want you to feel at home.
I pray that the Almighty God will watch over you, prosper you and make you all a source of pride to your families, country and humanity. Amen.
Once again, congratulations to all the matriculating students!!
God bless us all.
