Ada College of Education (ADACOE) has formally matriculated 334 freshmen into the College for the 2025/2026 academic year. The cohort comprises 179 females and 155 males, admitted across diverse Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) specializations.

The new entrants have been distributed across several programmes. Sixty-six students have enrolled in Junior High School Home Economics, while fifty-five have chosen Agricultural Science. Technical education continues to attract strong interest, with fifty-four students admitted into Technical Skills. In the sciences, thirty-three students are pursuing Mathematics and Science, and a further twenty-four are enrolled in Science and Mathematics. The creative disciplines are well represented, with thirty-five students admitted into Visual Arts. Finally, sixty-seven students have joined the Primary Education programme, underscoring the College’s enduring commitment to preparing teachers for foundational learning. This distribution reflects both strong interest in technical and creative disciplines and the College’s sustained dedication to producing highly qualified teachers for Ghana’s basic education sector.
In his address, Prof. Prince Boateng, Principal of the College, urged the freshmen to embody the College’s motto: “Awareness, Curiosity, and Compassion.” He emphasized that these values are not mere inscriptions but guiding principles for academic and personal growth. Prof. Boateng reminded students that they are ambassadors of AdaCoE, representing the calm banks of the Volta Estuary and the hospitality of the Greater Accra Region. He encouraged them to pursue excellence, graduating not only with degrees but with the competence, character, and confidence to transform Ghanaian classrooms.


Representing Ada College of Education’s affiliate institution, the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Prof. Humphrey Danso, Dean of the Graduate School, commended the College for fostering a vibrant academic and collegial atmosphere. He noted steady improvements in student performance over the years and praised management for ongoing infrastructure expansion and facility upgrades. He expressed pride in serving on the Governing Council of such a dynamic institution.

The matriculation oath was administered by Francis Prince Ankrah, Esq., Registrar of the College, to the freshmen presented by Dr. Nana Osei Yaw, Vice Principal. Opening and closing prayers were led by Evangelist Joshua Dugah, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Science.
The event was graced by members of management, heads of academic departments and units, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff.

The College Choir, under the direction of Mr. Nelson Kofi Zanga, provided uplifting hymns, while the ceremony was expertly emceed by Mr. Geshon Kofi Ladzekpo, Head of the Languages Department.
