I warmly welcome you to Ada College of Education (ADACOE). The College is one of the fifteen Science and Technical Colleges of Education, which is situated at Ada Foah, in the Ada East District of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Established in 1965, the College has grown from strength to strength and from an initial handful of students to College population of nearly 1000 students comprising diploma and degree student teachers.

The programmes offered at Ada College of Education are Primary and Junior High School Education. The specialisms in the Junior  High School Education are Mathematics and Science, Technical Skills, Vocational Skills, Agricultural Science and Visual Arts. The College has six academic departments, which include the departments of Education, Languages, Technical Vocational, Sciences, Mathematics and ICT, and Social Sciences. The College is affiliated to University of Cape Coast, and University of Education, Winneba.
The College was the first to launch e-portal for teaching practice supervision among the 46 colleges of education in Ghana.
Our vision is to become a centre of excellence reputed for training self-disciplined and self-motivated teachers.

The College operates under the mission to train teachers imbued with academic and professional competences, skills and attitudes in Primary and Junior High Education for the basic schools in Ghana.

ADACOE is opened to all people and positioned to attract partners from Ghana, Africa and indeed, the international community. You are, therefore, warmly welcome with the typical Ghanaian hospitality to do business with us as either a student, faculty member or a partner.

Prof. Prince Boateng (Principal)

Prince is a Senior Lecturer in Construction Technology and Management. Prince’s interest is in Project Management in a global context including risk management, time and cost management, performance management, etc. Organisational learning through simulation of construction processes (project-based simulation and construction business simulation using system dynamics) and the ANP for multiple criteria decision making.
