Ada College of Education has emerged victorious in the Southern Zone Insurance Debate Contest, triumphing over seven other tertiary institutions in a spirited two-day competition that took place in Accra on 9th and 10th October 2025.
The event brought together teams from the Ada College of Education, Accra Technical University, Komenda College of Education, Ho Technical University, Mt. Mary College of Education, St. Francis College of Education, the University of Cape Coast, and the University of Ghana Business School. AdaCoE was represented by:

Team AdaCoE faced Komenda College of Education, the defending champions, in the second round of debates and secured a decisive win, advancing to the Semifinal stage alongside St. Francis College of Education, the University of Cape Coast, and the University of Ghana Business School. In the Semi-Finals, Ada College of Education defeated St. Francis College of Education, while the University of Ghana Business School overcame the University of Cape Coast.
The Final Stage featured a compelling contest between Ada College of Education (represented by Teacher-Trainees) and the University of Ghana Business School (represented by Insurance Students).
After a rigorous exchange of arguments, Team AdaCoE was declared the winner, earning the title of Southern Zone Champions.
As part of their victory, Team AdaCoE took a tour of the offices of the Priority Insurance Company, the event organizers; appeared briefly on Atinka TV for a media segment; and received the Southern Zone Championship citations, a modest cash prize of GHC3,000.00, and souvenirs in recognition of their outstanding performance, eloquence, and teamwork.
As Southern Zone Champions, Team AdaCoE will face Team KNUST, the Northern Zone winners, in the National Championship, scheduled to take place in Accra on 22nd October 2025.
